Customer Relationship Management - a holistic approach to customer-oriented management

CRM is a holistic approach for customer-oriented management. Using CRM software and a defined sales process it integrates and optimises all customer-related processes in Marketing, Sales, Service, R&D etc. across departments.

The objective of CRM is the joint creation of added value at the company as well as its customers and vendors.


This means:

  • All company departments, which come into contact with the customer, need to be integrated. These are normally Service, Marketing and Sales. All points of contact with the customer must be considered, i.e. all the possible instances of a customer conveying a query, an order or a request to the company must be covered.
