The  R/2 and R/3 solutions were already highly successful in the areas of materials management and production management. But the integrated quantity and value flows and the 100% integration of all business processes with the accounting and controlling remain amongst the essential strengths of the SAP ERP solutions today.

With the current release SAP ERP 6.0 no wishes remain unfulfilled as regards comprehensive and modern accounting. Thanks to the platform strategy of the SAP Netweaver 7.0 with integrated Enterprise Repository extensive further developments can be seen in the areas of accounting and controlling too and there is scope for further developments.
